Westerville Firemen Visit

Big day for Hayden today -- the Westerville Fire Department visited school and allowed the kids to sit in their truck and touch all of their fire tools. Although he looks a little scared, I'm sure our little monkey LOVED the truck!!

Make Your Own Pizza Day

Little squirt making his own pizza at school earlier in June. He apparently eats it at school, but won't go near anything with red sauce when he's with us....

"I wear my sunglasses at night..."

Hayden found a pair of his daddy's crazy NYG sunglasses and kept putting them on. It was just too funny not to take a picture!

Chuck E Cheese Night

One night, Jeff and I were reminiscing of our childhood and how much fun we used to have at Chuck E Cheese - on Morse Road. So, we had the bright idea to take Hayden to the one on Sawmill so that he could experience/feel the fun that we experienced as children. After waiting in line for 30 minutes, eating what could have been the worst pizza ever, and being around so many human characters, we realized quickly that things have changed drastically.

Needless to say, we definitely won’t be taking Hayden back there again, but he did have a good time.

Valentine's Day - 2-14-12

It's Valentine's Day and our handsome little man was dressed to impress! Hayden started his day off a little rocky by waking up at 5 am (ouch!). So, by the time we were dressed and ready to leave the house for daycare, he was definately sleepy....
Ready for the Ladies!

Later in the afternoon, the Toddler room had their Valentine's Day party and invited all the parents. Hayden was so excited to see mommy and daddy show up. He couldn't sit still and had to show us everything in the room.

All of the kids sat at the table and ate their non-nutrious treats - cupcakes, cookies, candy, etc. The teachers did a fantastic job decorating the room and table.

After whining for a few minutes because he didn't want the frosting on his cupcake, Hayden chowed down on the treats. He even took a break and started playing with some of the toys in the room....

It was finally time to say goodbye to his friends for the day. All in all, the party was a success and Hayden enjoyed himself. When we got home, he found a nice surprise gift from daddy -- a matchbox set of cars! He really loved rolling them on the floor, carpet, and walls! Totally a boy with those cars!

Happy Valentine's Day Monkey! We love you lots!
Definately the best dressed kid!

New Daycare!

Hayden officially switched to a new daycare today. He started his first day in the Toddlers room at Primrose. His new teachers are Ms. Samantha and Ms. Melissa - both of them are absolutely wonderful!

Hayden started his day with breakfast at home and then was dropped off by Mommy and Daddy! He sat at the table with his new friends while they ate breakfast and then immediately started playing with the bikes. He was having such a good time babbling with his friends as they raced on their bikes until he heard us trying to leave. That's when the screaming and water works started.

We're confident that Hayden will adjust quickly in his new classroom and learn so much! Oh, and another big boy moment for Hayden in his new school....he will no longer be sleeping in a crib. All of the toddlers sleep on cots, so this will be a big milestone for our monkey!! Stay tuned for more on how his first week at school went.

Morning Smiles with Daddy!

Silly giggles!

Elijah Singh Litterst (Eli)

It's official - Hayden is going to have a baby brother to get into trouble with! Attached are some ultrasound pictures of Baby Eli. This pregnancy is very different than my pregnancy with Hayden. Eli doesn't move around as much as Hayden did, and my morning sickness is a lot worse. Another thing.....I am not craving Mexican food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The cravings are more related to fruits and ranch dressing:)

Once Eli is born, this blog will include updates on both boys, so we'll have to come up with a new name soon.

Bath Time Silliness

It's amazing that Hayden can be in full cry baby mode one minute, but once you put him in the tub, his tears immediately go away! This little monkey loves bath time - especially when there are bubbles involved.

As long as his hair and face are not being washed, he can play in the tub for hours!
Daddy caught this smiley face during bath time!!

If At First You Don't Succeed....

While I was in the kitchen one evening cleaning up his dinner tray, Hayden was in the dining room making all sorts of noises. When I turned the corner to see what was going on, I found him sitting in his high chair laughing. I couldn't beleive that he actually climbed into his chair, so I asked him to do it again while I watched.

Sure enough, the monkey has learned to pull himself up into his chair. Really unbelievable. He must have attempted this several times, which was the cause for all the noises that I heard. He finally got the hang of it, and now he wont stop doing it.

COSI Fun

During the holidays, we took Hayden to play in the Kids Space area of COSI. Boy...did he have some fun! Running around, grabbing the balls, pushing buttons, playing with water.....you name it, the kid did it all in 2 hours!
